Info for jumping at Golden Cross 4th October

Dear All,

The Drawn order for Sunday will be available from Friday 2nd October.

Tor Edwards will be course-walking and warming up for our members riding in Classes 1&2. 

Angela Stafford will be course-walking and warming up for our members riding in Classes 3&5.

Tor will be walking for Class 1 Starter Stakes at 9.30am. Other classes to follow.

Please ensure you are waiting by the entrance to your arena in time for the course walk prior to your class.

Please note that the C rally for tomorrow will be held at Town Place from 11am, please ensure you are ready on time and please ensure you have your Manual of Horsemanship book with a folder and pen

Show jumping arena party - from Helen Burgess

Calling all Mums, Dad's, Grannies, Nanna's, Grandad's, older children anyone.

I am trying to get a group of us together to man the Showjumping arena it is an ideal job if you have children there competing as we can man this in time slots, of half hour, one hour, 2 hours whatever you are free to give.  

The children can help to put up the jumps when they are not competing. 

So far I have Mandie Newman, Myself and Charlotte Russell to who I thank for offering to help.  But we really need a few more people.  As all 3 of us have children there competing on the day. 

Please can you email me if you are okay to help and let me know which class your children are competing in and when would be the best times to man the arena.  

As it is a ODE time slots are given so it is much easier to help and still be there to support your children.

Achievement badges - from Helen Burgess

Hi

Just a reminder that there is an achievement badge for all ages on the the sequence of footfalls.  The aim is to run the mini badge for the 9 and unders and the achievement badge for the 10 and overs.  Ideal if you are working towards any tests.....

The venue is Cooksbridge Village hall from 5.30pm.  

cost is £4

We will have drinks and nibbles there too.  

Due to the popularity of the badges last year I'm hoping the ones this year will be as popular.

Are there any budding cooks out there who could kindly make some cakes, cookies, flapjacks etc. with which to feed our wonderful helpers and fence judges at this Sundays' mini ODE at Wivelsden?   If you are able to help with this, please could you bring on Sunday and leave in the judges marquee - any contributions would be gratefully received - we have 150 entries and a busy day is in store for us.

Please can any parents, people over the age of 18 who will be at Wivlesden on Sunday, contact me urgently either by phone 01273 278361 or email to stuart.fellingham@ntlworld.com let me know of their help for fence judging. Without your help we will not be able to run the event, so far I have a definate 8 people, but I need either all day, morning or afternoon. you will be supplied with a lunch bag and yummy cakes!  The weather is looking good for our last event of the year, so PLEASE PLEASE if you can spare some time to make this event happen, then I would be so very grateful for you to contact me. Fence judging for mini ODE on 27th September

Hi Everyone

Thank you for ALL your HELP on Sunday we had a very successful day and without your assistance these events would not run.

We have one more big event this year that I will be looking for XC Fence Judges which is a MINI ODE on Sunday September 27th.

Unfortunately or Maybe Fortunately !!!! I have my Aunts 70th dinner to attend so kindly Sam Fellingham has agreed to run the Xc fence judges on that day.

I will be posting the entry on Monday 21^st September, so if your payment is not received by then, I will have to delete your entry – that sounds harsh, soorryy!!

 

The class will run as a single phase competition. The course will be in 2 parts with the second part timed. Competitors will jump the whole course unless eliminated and faults are accumulated over both parts of the course.

We live in Plumpton we are looking to loan / share / buy & keep ponies nearby.  Our requirements are summarised below:

Confidence giving PC pony required for 9 yo:

Maximum 14 hh pony required to help my daughter go up the stages in PC and enjoy herself. Recently passed her D Test, she is a competent but not over confident rider. Ideally a pony that could live in or out, is happy to do a bit of everything from hacking to sponsored rides, PC rallies including all PC activities. Age and appearance not important, but genuine, sane and sound pony much more valued.

Chilled out all rounder required for mum:
Maximum 16 hh large pony / small horse sought for regular, doing a bit of everything rider. Could be teenager's ex PC horse, or competition horse looking for a quieter life. Temperament and soundness of utmost importance; age and appearance less so.
