Crockstead rally this Saturday - from Jo Reffin
To all those doing the flat work rally with Polly Thom on Saturday 28/11/15. We can no longer use the indoor school as the new surface is still settling; however we have been offered the outdoor school for free. The plan is that we will check the condition of the school and the forecast on Thursday/ Friday and then make a judgement call as to whether to proceed or not. C Rally at Crockstead - important for this weekends relly!
Dear All
I have been informed that we are unable to use the indoor sand school at Crockstead this weekend. We have been offered the outdoor one instead.
I do not want to cancel but I am very aware that the outdoor school gets waterlogged. I will make a final decision on Friday whether I think the surface will be suitable and contact you.
I hope that is Ok and can only apologise for the situation. I will not be booking Crockstead again as this is the 3rd time they have let us down at short notice.

Hat tagging and standards
Dear Members and Parents Just a reminder that as from 1st January 2016, the hat standard BS EN 1384 will no longer be acceptable. If your hat is only marked with this standard, I am afraid you will not be able to use it for any pony club events or activities. The acceptable standards are as follows - British - PAS 015: 1998 or 2011* with BSI kitemark. American - Snell E2001* with the official Snell label and number. Australia and New Zealand - AS/NZS 3838: 2003 or 2006. *The PAS 015 and the Snell 2001 meet higher impact criteria and therefore give more protection. The European standard VG1 with BSI kitemark and the American standard ASTM-F1163 2004a with the SEI mark are at present being reviewed by the Pony Club but a decision has not yet been made. I will advise as soon as I know if these two standards are acceptable as well. Anne Sent from my iPhone

As these rallies at Plumpton are proving so popular an extra 2 hours has been booked at College on the above date. These will be for the E,D and those working to D+ tests. They will be in the smaller school. If you are in this group and have already booked and paid for this rally you will now be with Melanie Cammies in the small school. You do not need to do anything as I will transfer your booking to her. If you still wish to book (there are places available) please send booking form and money to me (Jane Walsh) as Melanie is away until the end of November and I will pass them on to her. This new arrangement for the rally will free up extra spaces in the higher groups. Those already booked and paid in these groups (D+ upwards) will not be affected and you will be in the larger school as usual. Angela Stafford will be course-walking and warming up for our members riding in Classes 1&2.
The course walk for Class 1 Mini Mini will be at 8.45am. Other classes to follow.
Please ensure you are waiting by the entrance to your arena in time for the course walk prior to your class.
DRAWN ORDER AND NOTES FROM THE ORGANISERS AS FOLLOWS:
Not before times are: Class 1 - 9am sharp. Class 2 - 10.30am. Class 3 - 1pm. Class 4 - 3.30pm. Class 5 - 5.45pm - please note Class 5 will now run as Single Phase.
We will do our best to not run any later than these times but sometimes incidents can happen which are beyond our control.
As you can see from the running order it is going to be a busy day! Parking at Golden Cross is going to be tight so there will be people on site who will tell you where to park and they will have to restrict the amount of space each lorry / trailer to get everyone in so it will not be possible for side ramps to be left down. Where possible, if you can double up with a friend to travel to the venue we would appreciate it. Please also remember that there is an enforced policy of no tying up to lorries or trailers with a haynet, haybag or munch net at Golden Cross.
Can I also remind everyone that as competitors it is your responsibility to ensure your horse / pony's vaccinations are up to date.
And finally, thank you all for entering and we look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday

TETRATHLON POSTAL SHOOT
TETRATHLON POSTAL SHOOT
Details of the AREA 11 winter postal shoot are attached. This can be completed at shoot club up at E Grinstead on a Tuesday evening 5:30pm until 8pm.
Margaret from OS&B is aware that the information has been delayed in being distributed so it doesn't matter that we haven't completed the first shoot yet. Will need to try to get one done in November and then catch up with the others over the winter months.
If anyone is interested in taking part in this then please contact me on nicky.collins@waitrose.com . New Tetrathletes are always welcome. If your child is 8yrs or older they can come to shoot club and learn to shoot in a very friendly and safe environment. Guns, pellets & targets can be provided.
