Following the successful stall at last week's Camp rally we could really do with some more Jods, etc. jackets and particularly sweatshirts before camp. We will have the stall again at the ODE on 10th July so any item you wish to sell/donate would be gratefully received . The parking is NOT in our driveway but through the gateway on the same side as our house about 200 metres before or after our house depending on your direction of travel. It is very close to the speed signs on the road.
You turn straight off the road through an open gate way ( old wooden gate says Whiteoaks) and then immediately left through another gate. It is tight so please take it slowly.
Any concerns about directions please get in touch before hand. Do not rely solely on postcode and sat nav as we share with all properties on lewes rd.

A gorgeous 15hh, coloured gelding!
Ace is a lovely 8 year old that I have had for nearly 5 years! He's involved with South down hunt east pony club and been to senior camp 3 years running and he was amazing! He is well known horse for the good reasons, he's qualified for Hickstead dressage and many show jumping events and has done many shows nearly every weekend in past years. Really sad sale and will be missed truly but I'm going travelling next year and it's not fair on him! SECOND HAND CLOTHING.
We will be bring the items which we have in stock at present to the camp rally at Chelwood Gate on Saturday.
I have 20 free adult Hickstead Derby tickets for each of Thursday 23rd June, Friday 24th June and Saturday 25th June.
The tickets are in the form of an A4 pdf file which successful applicants will need to print and take with them.
First come, first served - 4 tickets max per application and yes you can probably find more free tickets in the local paper. You still have to pay parking!

Please could you arrive in plenty of time for your allocated slot and be mounted ready to rock 'n roll! The rallies are all being held in the outdoor arena.
Chelwood Equestrian is located on the road between Nutley and Chelwood Gate and the entrance is on the right hand side, on the sharp bend about .5 mile from the Chelwood Gate end, and signposted Chelwood Farm. Drive slowly down the lane, keep to the right and the farm is through the double wooden gates. Lorry parking is behind the main buildings (lots of room!)
Once mounted, come back to the wooden gates at the entrance, bear left beside the barn usually housing a large horse lorry, down the slope to access the school.
All horses and riders are to be immaculate in their turn out – clean ponies and clean plain tack (no bling!) Riders to wear pony club sweatshirt and tie, white shirt, beige jodphurs, boots and chaps, gloves and hairnets for the girls. If your hat is not tagged, I can do it for you on the day.
Please do not leave ponies unattended tied up to boxes, and please clear up droppings and any spilt hay.
This rally is not a lesson in itself, but an assessment to see what standard you and your pony are at in order to place you in the correct riding group at camp – it also gives us a chance to pair up people at similar standards and also a chance for you to meet fellow campers. I hope you all have a fun time and look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Hi All,
Senior Camp is fast approaching so I thought I would give you some advance notice of a change in our usual process.
As most of you know, when you arrive at Camp we undertake a pretty stringent tack checking process. In recent years any failures on stirrup leathers, girth straps etc have been whisked off over night to a tame saddler who has then worked all night to get them repaired.
Unfortunately, our tame saddler is not so tame this year and has organised a holiday the very week of Camp!! With this in mind could I remind all or you to give you tack a thorough check over, checking all stitching etc is in good condition. With us not having a saddler available this will mean that if any tack fails inspection it will be rejected and not allowed into Camp. Therefore, it will be down to yourselves to either source replacements or have the offending item repaired. Obviously, if this is not carried out promptly you will be unable to ride all the while the item is missing.
Thank you all for your attention in this matter and if there are any other changes I will let you all know immediately.

Windmill Saddlery at Cross In Hand are very kindly putting on a late night shopping evening for Pony Club members on Thursday 14th July and will be offering 20% discount on many items. This is an ideal time to purchase items needed for camp i.e. jodphurs, boots, saddlesoap, shampoo etc.
You will need to take some sort of ID to prove you are a PC member, such as your camp confirmation letter, spurs card (if you are entitiled to one), rally card.....
As well as buying goods at a discounted rate, it is also a very sociable evening for excited campers to meet up and of course you have to go via Mcdonalds drive through to make the evening complete!

Paula Brooks has kindly agreed to to manage secondhand riding wear for the Branch. She already has a small stock of sweatshirts, jodphur boots, a couple of PC ties and back protectors etc. ! Please mark items clearly with your name, address, tel.no and the price you would like to obtain for it. NO hats please as we are not able to check them for damage or to fit them.
