We are looking to borrow a pony for Junior Camp for my granddaughter Isabel Pollard. Izzi is 8 but quite small so we are looking for something about 12 hands.
If there is anyone who can help please contact me on 07715721504 or gill.mcpate@ yahoo.co.uk or Paula Pollard on 01444 471745
Best regards
Gill
We are looking for a 15.2- 16.2 horse for my 16 year old daughter to take to Senior Camp ( date Saturday 29th July- Saturday 5th August)
Unfortunately, her beautiful mare sustained an injury to her hind leg at Christmas, and whist she will make a full recovery, the mare will not be fit enough to attend camp.
Lucy is an enthusiastic, competent and sympathetic rider. Whilst her own mare has been out of action, Lucy has been exercising and hacking other horses from her yard. Having attended numerous rallies last year, her riding ability is known to the PC instructors and this will be Lucy's second senior camp.
If you feel you would be help, I'd be grateful to hear from you

Please follow these instructions for travelling and do not rely on sat nav or go to our house. You will get stuck.
The field access to Birches farm is a turning off the Lewes Road very close to the speed sign. The turning is by a pair of cottages almost opposite Boathouse farm; this turning is through an open gate " Whiteoaks". The next turning is immediately on your left in to our field. I will try to put out a sign on the road.
Any problems with this please text me 07789992810. Signal is too poor for phone calls.
Thank you

Please could you arrive in plenty of time for your allocated slot and be mounted ready to rock 'n roll! The rallies are all being held in the outdoor arena.
Chelwood Equestrian is located on the road between Nutley and Chelwood Gate and the entrance is on the right hand side, on the sharp bend about .5 mile from the Chelwood Gate end, and signposted Chelwood Farm. Drive slowly down the lane, keep to the right and the farm is through the double wooden gates. Lorry parking is behind the main buildings (lots of room!)
Once mounted, come back to the wooden gates at the entrance, bear left beside the barn usually housing a large horse lorry, down the slope to access the school.
All horses and riders are to be immaculate in their turn out – clean ponies and clean plain tack (no bling!) Riders to wear pony club sweatshirt and tie, white shirt, beige jodphurs, boots and chaps, gloves and hairnets for the girls. If your hat is not tagged, I can do it for you on the day.
Please do not leave ponies unattended tied up to boxes, and please clear up droppings and any spilt hay.
This rally is not a lesson in itself, but an assessment to see what standard you and your pony are at in order to place you in the correct riding group at camp – it also gives us a chance to pair up people at similar standards and also a chance for you to meet fellow campers. I hope you all have a fun time and look forward to seeing you next Tuesday.

Calling all our keen dressage riders....
Further to my email of 4th May please see the attached amended schedule for the area dressage on Sunday 2nd July.
I would love to hear from any of you who might be interested in competing. As things stand we do not have sufficient interest to send even one team. This is a shame as our teams and individuals have done well over the years.
I need to hear from you by Thursday 25th May at the latest please.
Any questions do email me: jo.reffin@gmail.com.
Best wishes

Looking for a genuine first ridden pony who is unflappable, bomb proof and safe for all pony club activities and who is happy quietly popping small jumps with a nervous, young rider who is keen to have fun and gain confidence. 11 – 12.2 hands for loan or to buy, 5 star, knowledgeable, private home awaits. Please email sarah.day@daygroup.co.uk or call 07789 985804.
A little reminder for those hoping to attend senior or junior camp that they need to attend one of the 4 camp setting rallies to be assessed. The April rally was very successful and the June 24th rally is now FULL. The remaining dates are this Saturday 20th May and Tuesday 30th May, both are being held at Chelwood Equestrian and cost £12.50 with cheques made payable to SDHE (if paying by BACS please attach a copy of the transaction) Please post or hand deliver your completed forms and payment as e-mailed copies will not be accepted. to: Candy Robbins, 32 Chestnuts Close, Lindfield, West Sussex RH16 2AU.
Many thanks
Candy Robbins & Stuart Fellingham
I have just sent the forms to those on my list as wishing to attend Junior or Mini Camp 2017. In the case of Mini Camp twice as the subject was incorrectly set first time round (but contents and recipients should be fine).
The most important thing is if you have a member who you have told me wants to go to Junior or Mini camp but you have not received the forms then clearly some error or misunderstanding has occurred and you need to advice me urgently so we can correct that. It's not too late to book - Plumpton is a big place!
Hope this makes sense!!
Cheers
Mike
Hello all AGAIN I'm sorry to have to email again. I had hoped that we would have enough volunteers for the weekend by now. Unfortunately we do not. We only have enough volunteers to cover not quite half of the fences. If this remains the case we will be unable to hold the Hunter trials. These pony club events are held in order to ensure that rallies and camps can be subsidised to make them affordable for our members. They take place solely because of the generous amounts of time given up by volunteers. (Most of whom no longer have children in the pony club) These volunteers should come from the parents of our pony club members. We all appreciate how difficult it is to juggle ponies and children but it can be done, and once the pony has been taken home, adults and children can come back and will be welcome with you on the fence. If your child isn't taking part at all this weekend, PLEASE offer to help. Someone else may then offer to help later in the year when your tot is trotting round at the mini ODE. We can accommodate mornings or afternoons if you cannot make the full day. We will feed and water you and grateful. It's going to be a beautiful weekend, so dig out your sunnies and your deck chairs and please put your name down. Call/ text Sally. On 07753777072. Or email on sallyannharper@me.com
We possibly have an 11'1h pony available to loan for junior camp. Lu-Lu has been to junior and mini camp for the last 4 years with both of my children. Lu is not a sharp pony and is very safe but can sometimes be a little stubborn.
She is fully vaccinated to meet Plumptons standards and I can offer transport to and from camp on a daily basis by arrangement.
We will be attending a camp setting rally on the 20th may and she would also be available that day.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss.
Beverly tel 07739370240
Dear all,
I have just received the area 11 dressage schedule for this summer. Please see attached for all details. Please read details carefully with regard to eligibility for the classes.
If you have a rider who is interested please send me an email indicating which class they wish to be considered for.
The PC has set criteria for members being entered in to these area events. In summary this is attendance at 3 starred (*) rallies or 2 starred (*) rallies and camp since the previous summer.
I look forward to hearing from you all.
Best wishes
Jo Reffin
Would someone please be able to help my daughter out with a lift to a setting rally and to/from senior camp? She have has been very generously offered a pony which is kept in Horsted Keynes, but we have no way of transporting him. I will, of course, be very happy to cover any traveling expenses.
Thank you!
Julie Purvis
Please note, allowing members and others to post adverts for members is a service which Southdown East branch of the Pony Club is offering to members as a benefit of membership. It is done in good faith and without any liability on the part of the Pony Club. If you enter into any arrangement advertised or purchase any item following an advertisement listed by the branch, you do so as a private individual, without recourse to the Pony Club, and must satisfy yourself that any product or arrangement is suitable for your circumstances.
A reminder to all those who would like to attend senior or junior camp that they need to have attended one of the camp assessment rallies that are being held to assist with placing campers in the correct riding group. The remaining dates are Saturday 20th May, Tuesday 30th May and Saturday 24th June and are all being held at Chelwood Equestrian Centre. The cost is £12.50 and to book please post or hand deliver your completed rally form along with payment to Candy Robbins at; 32, Chestnuts Close, Lindfield, RH16 2AU (If paying by BACS you will need to attach a copy of the transaction to the rally form).
There are no exceptions to this ruling and all senior and junior campers will need to attend an assessment in order to go to camp.
Candy Robbins and Stuart Fellingham
We have our first cross country event of the year on Sunday 14th May. The event can't run without volunteers to help man the fences. Please can you come and help?
