Hello all It's been a week since I sent out my request for help at the Humter arrivals, which makes us a week closer. ( it's now only 2 weeks away) I have 3 names in my list of helpers. Two of these are old pony club members and one is a brand new member. It's not enough for us to run the event. We need at least thirty names to cover all the fences. We cannot run this event without our members help. Please do volunteer. It's very much appreciated by all competitors and by the club committee who work so hard to organise these events for our club. Please contact me as below. Sallyannharper@me.com. Or. Call 07753777072 Thank you Sally

All horses and riders are to be immaculate in their turn out – clean ponies and clean plain tack (no bling!) Riders to wear pony club sweatshirt and tie, white shirt, beige jodphurs, boots and chaps, gloves and hairnets for the girls. If your hat is not tagged, I can do it for you on the day.
Please do not leave ponies unattended tied up to boxes, and please clear up ALL droppings and any spilt hay.
This rally is not just a lesson, but also an assessment to see what standard you and your pony are at in order to place you in the correct riding group at camp – it also gives us a chance to pair up people at similar standards and also a chance for you to meet fellow campers. In addition it gives us a chance to make sure your hat is up to standard and tagged as well as checking your tack is in good condition, with no stitching coming undone, and fits your pony correctly. I hope you all have a fun time and look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Invitation to Summer Camp 2018 - we still have spaces available
Please find attached an invitation to attend one of our summer camps at Plumpton Racecourse. This has been sent before but I'm told some members didn't receive it and we have now changed the way our mail is sent which might reduce the chances of it ending up in the Junk folder. Also we do still have spaces in all camps so it's not to late to apply. I can also confirm that Mini and Junior Camps will run the same week at Plumpton soi Mini Camp will be Tuesday 7th August to Friday 10th August.
There is no booking form as such - your will receive many forms to complete in due course if you are coming. All I need is an e-mail or text to say you want to come but remember that bookings are provisional until the non-refundable deposit is paid and membership renewed. This is all explained in the attachment.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Mike

PONY CLUB DAY OUT - Sunday 13th May 2018
Hello everyone
We need people who are happy to come and sit by a fence in a deck chair in the beautiful spring sunshine. No experience is needed as you will be given full instructions and we'll also provide you with refreshments to keep you going. It's a great opportunity to grab a mate and have a catch up while you work or bring your youngster to come and watch how the cross country course is jumped before they have a go themselves.
You don't have to do all day. We're happy to split mornings and afternoons so you could even do it around your classes, your mucking out, riding or it's a really good excuse to put off your housework or DIY.......
We are also looking for new volunteers to help by taking over the start and finish line. After many years our trusty stalwarts, Roger and Mary Emeny have thrown in the stop watch and we need new folks to take on this vital role, again full training will be given along with numerous cups of tea.
We really do rely on volunteers for these events, a lot of them, because without those volunteers we simply can't run the events. It's fund raisers like these which help to keep the cost of rallies and summer camp down to an affordable level and we do need your help. Perhaps your child isn't keen on cross country? Please volunteer to help at this event when you don't have child and pony to sort out at the event.
Please contact Sally Harper on sallyannharper@me.com. Or give me a call on 07753 777072 and we can work out timings to suit you.
Hoping to hear from you
Sally
Can't do this event but want to give us a hand? Pencil in Sunday 10th of June for the ODE. All kinds of help will be needed them as well.

Loan Pony available for Camp
Please note, allowing members and others to post adverts for members is a service which Southdown East branch of the Pony Club is offering to members as a benefit of membership. It is done in good faith and without any liability on the part of the Pony Club. If you enter into any arrangement advertised or purchase any item following an advertisement listed by the branch, you do so as a private individual, without recourse to the Pony Club, and must satisfy yourself that any product or arrangement is suitable for your circumstances.
Hiya Mike,
Had an email from Jenni Ramsey offering a Pony for loan at Camp and then for a home after when Emily goes to Uni.
Was wondering if you would mind circulating an email to the hordes please.
Details as follows.
Harvey would love to do camp if anyone would like to take him. He did last year with Rebecca Derrick and three previous camps with Emily.
He's 13.2hh and not suitable for anyone just off the lead rein as can be strong/cheeky. Loves to jump and go xc so would suit a confident young teen.
He adores camp.
Let me know if there's anyone in need of a pony.
He will also be looking for a loan home from end of Sept when Emily goes to Uni.
Please Contact Jenni on ramsayjenni@gmail.com
Thanks Mike and see you soon
