Codes of conduct for members, parents/guardians
Hi Everyone I hope you are enjoying the new website and finding it easy to use. I would just like to draw your attention to the Codes of Conduct. Please read the Role of Parents/Guardians Code of Conduct and there is also a Role of Members Code of Conduct which all members should read. Included in these is an item about 'Not criticising officials, instructors, volunteers or members on social networking sites or by the use of text messaging'. Most branches are using these codes of conduct and it is important that everyone reads them. Thank you Anne

Suspension of rallies and events
Due to the recent flu outbreaks and many of our venues being on "shut down", we are canceling all rallies and events until further notice to help stop unnecessary risk of exposure to our own and other horses.
Also a reminder of an earlier statement regarding our flu vaccination protocol, that we need all horses to have been vaccinated 6 months prior to attending a rally/event and there must have been a clear 7 days from vaccination to attending any rally/event.
Thank you for your co-operation.

Branch protocol regarding flu and infectious diseases for attending rallies and events
With regard to the recent flu outbreaks, please be advised that we may need to cancel rallies and events at short notice.
In the meantime we ask that all horses must have had a vaccination within 6 months in order attend rallies and events.
If you are in a yard where there is a suspected or confirmed case of any infectious disease, who will not be permitted to attend any mounted Pony Club activities or shows whilst representing SDHE.
Please take your own precautions - avoid unnecessary periods of time standing with other horses, letting horses touch, sharing transport with unknown horses etc.
If you are in any doubt that your horse is unwell do not travel to another yard or show centre.
Thankyou for your co-operation with this.
Senior Camp - first time campers invitation
We will be holding a briefing session for first time Senior Campers and their families on Wednesday 27th February at The Bent Arms, Lindfield, 19.15 for a 19.30 start – this will be in the upstairs function room.
In previous years this has been well attended and is an opportunity to find out what Senior Camp is all about. The camp staff will be there to answer any questions you may have as our aim is to ensure every camper has a thoroughly enjoyable, productive and memorable experience.
We are hoping to have a former yard leader there to take everyone through a typical day in the life at camp.
It would be of help if you could let me know if you would like to attend so we have an idea of how many places to set up for. Many thanks.
