With regret we have made the decision to cancel the rallies due to take place at Plumpton College this Sunday. Temperatures are predicted to be in the mid 30's so this would be a great concern for horse welfare not just from the ridden aspect but also the travelling aspect when the temperature inside a box/trailer is far higher than the outside temperature. Guidelines recommend that livestock should not travel if the temperature exceeds 30 degrees, unless the vehicle is fitted with a thermoregulation system.
A full refund will be made to all. Sorry for the disappointment but horse welfare is a priority. Enjoy the warm weather and lots of ice creams instead!
We now have the schedule for the inter-branch show jumping being hosted by Southdown West Pony Club and taking place at Hickstead Showground on Saturday 6th August 2022
Class 1: 70cm Teams: Riders 12 years and under on 1st January 2022. Last 6 jumps will be higher. Combinations not to have competed at Novice level or above at Area show jumping or horse trials.
Class 2: 80cm Teams and Individuals: Riders 14 years and under on 1st January 2022. Last 6 jumps will be higher. Combinations not to have competed at Novice level or above at Area show jumping or area horse trials.
Class 3: 90cm Teams and Individuals: Last 6 jumps will be higher. Combinations not to have competed at Intermediate level or above at Area show jumping or Area horse trials, or been placed in the Open class.
Class 4: 1m Teams and Individuals: Limited to 2 associate members per team. Last 6 jumps will be higher
The team event will incorporate an individual competition.
Riders can jump twice in same class but on a different pony. Rider and Pony can jump in two classes but no more than one class higher.
Currently you will need to provide an EVH virus form 24 hours before the show
Flu boosters must have been given within 6 months of competing, leaving 7 clear days between booster and competing
You will need to have attended a minimum of 3 jumping rallies to be considered as part of a team.
If you are interested in being considered as part of a team or as an individual for any of the above and meet the criteria for the class please message Katie Wright 07881 404542 so she can compile a list for our Chief Instructor to select teams from by 15th July at the very latest.
