Flatwork rally at Alderlake Sunday 4th December

The rally will be 10am to 11am. Polly Thom is instructing. Please arrive promptly and don't tie any hay outside of your trailers/lorries. Please clear away any droppings from the car park. Please can you also clear up any droppings in the school so they are not trodden into the arena during the rally.

Dress code is black or navy hat/hat silk, navy pony club polo shirt or white shirt and pony club tie, pony club sweatshirt if needed and plain jodhpurs. Please bring schooling whips.

Flatwork rally Sunday 4th December

Mini/junior rally this Saturday at Plumpton College

 

Here are the groups for Saturday's Mini/Junior rally – Alice Coulton is instructing. Due to wind and rain damage at Plumpton College, we will be riding in Arena A. Please remember to wear correct Pony Club turnout - navy pony club polo shirts or shirt and pony club tie, Pony Club sweatshirt if needed, white or beige jods, black or navy hat silk and appropriate riding footwear. 

Please do not tie haynets outside of lorries/trailers and clear up any droppings/mess before leaving.

Unmounted C standard theory rally

This unmounted rally is for members who are working towards their C test or who are wanting to improve their horse and pony care skills and knowledge but not take tests. It will be a theory session and Sonia Chittenden is instructing. The session will be held at one of our members houses in Upper Hartfield. The first session will start at 4pm and subject to numbers there will be either one or two sessions.

Notepads and pens required. Informal dress code – Christmas jumpers welcome!

Please attend if you are currently preparing to take your C Test in 2023.

Hat standards

With Christmas fast approaching, some of  you may be considering buying a new riding hat - good idea!

However, from 1st January 2023 hats bearing the standards PAS 015 1998 and SNELL 2001 will no longer be acceptable to Pony Club or other organisations such as BE - please check carefully when purchasing that hats are up to the new standards. This is due to the age of the hats made to this standard.

To manage the change, pink hat tags will be issued from 1st January 2023, This can be done at mounted rallies by myself or Anne Cook. Alternatively you are welcome to come to my home in Lindfield to have this done at a mutually suitable time.

C/C+ standard ridden rally 19th November

The next Senior ridden rally - for members working towards their C and C+ tests or those who are working at this level but not wishing to take their tests - is on Saturday 19th November at Plumpton College. Sonia Chittenden is instructing and the first group will be at 10am.

Interbranch show jumping competition

East Sussex pc are hosting team and individual sj @ Golden Cross equestrian centre on 20th November if anyone would be interested in going? Team places will only be open to those that attend rallies/ training sessions and places will only be secured once payment has been received. Sonia Chittenden will decide teams and those not in a team can of course compete as an individual. We are limited on time to get the entries in so if your child is interested then please let me know by Monday 7th November at the very latest. Classes are from 60cm up to 1m. What's going on during November and December

Hi all,     This is just a reminder of what's going during November and December.  Website bookings generally close a week before the rally so please get booked in asap.     Saturday 13th November showjumping at Chelwood equestrian.   Spaces - up to 70cm class.  Jumps can be lowered/highered to suit all abilities. Come and have a go if you've not been to a showjumping rally before.    Saturday 19th November at Plumpton :  C/C+ Working Rally    Mini/junior fun gridwork rally     Sunday 4th December at Alderlake   Dressage/Flatwork Rally suitable for all members    Saturday 10th December at Chelwood Equestrian  Christmas fun suitable for all members .
