My 14 year old daughter wants to buy or loan a horse to keep in the Brighton and surrounding area. She is 5 foot and weighs about 52 kilos. She has been riding over 5 years.  She is confident and would consider a mare or gelding of 14.2 hands or over .  She needs a safe , experienced, and easy-going friend who she can hack out with alone or in company, is safe in traffic, easy to catch, shoe, clip and stable and would like pony club events and camps.

AGM invite - 13th March 2023, Bent Arms, Lindfield

Southdown Hunt East Branch of the Pony Club are holding their AGM on Monday 13^th March 2023 in the upstairs function room of The Bent Arms, Lindfield at 7.30.

It would be great to see as many members and their families there as possible for a review of 2022, plans for 2023, financial report and to answer any questions you may have.

Light refreshments will be available (or something stronger available at the bar!)

Flatwork rally at Alderlake Sunday 22nd January

here will be one group at Alder Lake on Sunday 22nd Jan, 10am to 11am. Polly Thom is instructing and Lorna Thwaites (07890 708 983) is the organiser. 

Please wear pony club navy polo shirts or shirt and tie, pony club sweatshirts, plain johds and black or navy hat silk. Pls bring a schooling whip if you have one. Pls do not hang haynets outside of your lorry/trailer and clear up any droppings both in the school or outside. Times are always very strict at Alder Lake so please be tacked and ready for 10am.

Area 11 C+ training

Area 11 C+ Care Test Training

If you have your C Test and are working towards taking your C+ Test, Area 11 are running a series of 3 online Care rallies followed by a practical session in Charlwood. I have pasted the details below and you need to contact Abby Bernard from Area 11 directly to book. These will be useful sessions to attend and will supplement the C+ Care Training sessions we have been running.

C+ Care Test Training:

Online Training: Thursday 2nd February, Thursday 9th February, Thursday 23rd February at 6pm via Zoom.

Practical session on Friday 17th February at 11am. Venue: Heffers Croft, Russell Road, Charlwood, RH6 0EW.

My 14 Year old daughter has very sadly outgrown Charles. He is a lovely pony, loves jumping, has done some PC rallies, loves to hack out alone or in company. He is good with the farrier, good to stable, easy turnout and bring in.
Charles is such a giver in return he LOVES lots of cuddles

Flatwork rallies and Area dressage

The Area Dressage Qualifiers are being hosted again by SDHEPC and are on Sunday 21st May at Hickstead. Last year we had lots of members who competed both as individuals and in teams. A couple of our members qualified and competed at the Regionals last year.

If you are interested in representing your branch at the Area Qualifier in May, please come to our dressage /flatwork rallies. These are open to all our members off the lead rein. The next flatwork/dressage rally will be on Sunday 22nd January at Alder Lake and Polly Thom is instructing.

Please book on via the website - tickets will close a week before the rally so we can confirm numbers and plan the groups.
