We are hoping to find a first pony for loan or share.

 

It is for a 7 year old boy, so height approx 11.3hh to max 13hh

 

Perhaps you have lovely first pony that has been outgrown that you can't bear to part with, that we could loan?

Or you may be looking for a sharer, and a financial contribution?

 

My son is a nice quiet rider who receives regular instruction.

He would like to school and hack and attend some Pony club events and have lessons on the pony.

As well as the riding side, my son adores animals and a big part, is also the grooming, cuddling and generally giving lots of love and affection to the pony so a kind gentle temperament essential.

We are a very caring and knowledgeable home, experienced with horse care.

 

We are in Lewes, so a radius of 8 miles if a share.

We are open to suggestions, and open to questions.

Tetrathlon

Eridge PC TET on 24th May:

 

Congratulations to all the competitors at Sunday's TET. This was a well supported and well run event.

Results were as follows:

A fabulous day for all concerned. This event definately had the most challenging XC course so far. It would be fantastic if more members where to join us so that we could field a full team of 3 or 4 competitors in some of the classes. Please do contact me for a chat if you might like to have a go. The events are fun & friendly.

 

Shoot Practice

This is on at Taylors Gun Club in E Grinstead on Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm onwards. Gemma Cosens, who shoots for England, will be at training this Tuesday so please come along for some expert advice. I shall be there with my boys this Tuesday if anyone wishes to bring entries for the upcoming competitions along.

Please state any special requests such as whether the child requires as outside lane for the swimming, whether you have your own gun or wish to share (also if left handed). It helps the organisers if I can give them an indication of the expected swim that the child will achieve so if you could indicate how many metres that would be great. Please see entry forms for other information required (i.e. name, age, ponies name, etc).

If travelling from A26, from Lewes, turn left at the "Ship" Pub. The field is then about 600 metres along on your right immediately past 2 cottages on your right where you need to turn.

Cakes for ODE

We are hosting the CDMS (Sussex) ODE at Wivelsden next Sunday 31st May and would love some yummy cakes with which to feed an army of helpers and fences judges.  If you are up for doing some cake making please could you bring to the event on Sunday and leave with Claire in the fence judges marquee.

Flap jacks always go down well so how about a SDHE flapjack bake off - there were some very hot contenders at the last event!

Help needed please with fence judging for our ODE SUnday 31st May

Hi Everyone

Thank you to all last weekends fence judges without you all the day would not have ran.

Next Sunday 31st May we have our 1st ODE of the year.

The xc will not start till 10ish and I am looking for 20 judges to cover the whole day but if you can only do certain classes that is fine just let me know. We will start with level 4 and end with level 1 at the end of the day.

Please clear up all hay and droppings from the lorry park.  Horses are not to be left unattended in or outside of boxes/trailers.

 

Correct pony club dress code – horses to be clean and wearing clean plain tack with no bling! Riders must wear beige jodphurs, clean boots and gaiters, shirt, pony club tie and badge, gloves and hairnets for the girls.

 

Hope you all have a great time and please remember to thank your instructor at the end of your session.  Happy jumping.
