Further to my earlier e-mail, the Friday evening performance at Olympia has proved to be the most popular choice by a long way, and that is the one that we shall be applying for.  The names I have for this performance are:

Trip to Olympia this Christmas

Would anyone like to go to the Olympia Horse Show this Christmas?

I have made a few enquiries and come up with the following, based on a minimum size group of 10

Friday 18^th December     afternoon performance  £32.90

Friday 18^th December      evening performance  £33.90

Monday 21^st December   evening performance  £32.90

 

There will be a small booking fee to share.

 

If you are interested,  please could you let me know by Tuesday and also which performance you would like to see.  If there is enough interest, we could arrange 2 trips (you would need to get yourselves to Olympia but the train is cheap and very easy)

 

Olympia is always a great event to attend  for all ages and the perfect opportunity to buy Christmas presents!

Pony Racing at Lingfield on Monday - VERY IMPORTANT

Hi All

Please note that the Eridge Pony Club race day at Lingfield racecourse on Monday 26th October 2015, will now have Princess Anne going as well.  Due to the need for heightened security anyone wishing to attend must register every person attending at this link http://www.pcuk.org/lingfield/  

Unfortunately if you are not registered you will not be allowed to attend the race day.  Also everyone has to be registered individually..

Unless you and your pony have passed the racing certificate you will not be allowed to enter and race in the races. However last year we did all have great fun watching.

They have all been very successful but we can't run them without your help.  We have bought a new set of very colourful show jumps which we used at the last one day event on 4th October.   We must all be very grateful to Nick and Sonia for the use of Wivelsden Farm.   The next event is our dressage competition at Plumpton College on 1st November. She has given me loads of fun and confidence in all disciplines- showjumping, cross country, dressage and hunting!! But now I have sadly outgrown her and need to move onto horses. 
Hacks alone or in company going first or last. Excellent in the heaviest traffic, good to shoe, box (trailer or lorry), catch (comes when called) .
Safe in open fields and will happily canter alongside others. Jumps fillers and basically everything.

Tuesdays

There are weekly shooting practices at Taylor's Gun Club in East Court, every Tuesday from 5.30pm until 7.30pm. Guns, pellets and targets are provided. Complete beginners are welcome as full training is given but please ring Margaret Allday (via Nicky Collins) first. Children must be 8 yrs old or over. There is a pool table too!

 

Fridays

There are weekly swimming practices on Friday evenings 6-7pm. They are run by Emily Miles (Bright) who is a past OS&B member, a medal winner at Junior & Senior World Championship level in Modern Pentathlon, and one of four National Pony Club Tetrathlon Mentors. All welcome but book in with Margaret Allday (via Nicky Collins) first. Cost £9 for an hour's lesson.
