Pony Club volunteers survey

Hello everyone

Over the pony club year we often come and ask for volunteers to help run events.  These requests are met with various levels of enthusiasm!

Emma Robbins has been working in a 'volunteers' project as part of her university course. She's put together a survey which I hope you will complete as this will help both me to know how we can perhaps grab your interest to Volunteer and will help Emma fulfil her course project.

Eventing Rally April 12th - South Brockwells - This rally is nearly full

Eventing Inter Branch Teams 

If you wish to be considered for a team place representing SDHEPC at either of the competitions below please email me at rebmusik@me.com letting me know which height you would like to compete at. Individual entries are available. 

Chiddingfold PC ODE May 5th - classes 80, 90, 1m   (Coombelands)

Mid Surrey PC ODE May 11th and 12th - classes 60, 70, 85, 95, 1.05m    (Walton on the Hill)

Area 11 mock C+ and B test 9th April and Event training day 10th April 2019

Area 11 have organised a Mock C+ and B test at Crockstead on 9th April.  This is aimed at members who are already training for their C+ or B tests. Cost £35.  There is also an Event Training day on Wednesday 10th April at Comphurst for 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 cms.  Cost is £60 a horse. You must be riding cross country competently at the height you choose.   Details and booking form are on the Pony Club Area 11 calendar.    Anne

Please remember to bring the passport for your horse with the vaccination record as this will need to be checked by me before unloading. Horses must have had a full course of injections completed within the last 6 months and there must be a clear 7 days from last injection to the date of the rally. The venue will not allow any horse to enter that does not comply with this rule, so thankyou for your co-operation.

 

Please could you all make sure you are tacked up promptly and ready to start at your allocated time. Any help with setting up of jumps would be very much appreciated and please could you remove any droppings and hay from around your lorry before leaving – no horses to be left unattended tied to lorries/trailers.

Please wear correct pony club clothing i.e. beige jodphurs, white shirt, pc tie, pc sweatshirt, gloves and hairnets for the girls. Ponies to be clean and wearing clean plain tack.

Rallies at Plumpton College and Alderlade 8th March

Rallies at Plumpton College and Alderlake are now able to resume starting with those scheduled for 8th March organised by Melanie Cammies and Susie Newton.

Your horse/pony must have had a full course of vaccinations and a booster within the last 6 months. For those that need to be updated, a clear 7 days is needed from vaccination to the activity you are attending.

Before unloading you will need to have  your passport with the vaccination record, checked by the organiser. We cannot allow anyone without a passport or vaccinations that are not in order to unload and attend the rally.

Please avoid either you or your horse touching other horses. Also a reminder if you think your horse is under the weather or there has been a horse at your yard with a infectious disease, please do not come to a rally until the all clear has been given.
