Team showjumping Saturday 7th August

I now have the schedule for the inter-branch show jumping being held hosted by Southdown Hunt West at Hickstead on Saturday 7^th August 2021

 

Class 1:  70cm Teams: Riders 12 years and under on 1^st January 2021.   Last 6 jumps will be higher. Combinations not to have competed in Novice level or above at Area show jumping or  Area horse trials.

 

 

Class 2a:  80cm Teams: Riders 14 years and under on 1^st January 2021. Last 6 jumps will be higher. Combinations  not to have competed in Novice level or above at Area show jumping or area horse trials.

 

 

Class 2b:  80cm Teams: Riders 15 years and over on 1^st January 2021. Last 6 jumps will be higher. Combinations  not to have competed in Novice level or above at Area show jumping or area horse trials.

 

 

Class 3:  90cm Teams:   Last 6 jumps will be higher. Combinations not to have competed at Intermediate level or above at Area show jumping  or Area horse trials,  or been placed  in the Open class.

 

 

Class 4: 1m Teams:  Limited to 2 associate members per team. Last 6 jumps will be higher.

 

 

 

 

The team event will incorporate an individual competition.

If you are interested in being considered for a place in a team please let me know by 1^st July giving the class you are interested in and name of your horse please.

 

 

 

Teams in each class are restricted so therefore places in teams will be limited and subject to balloting.

Show jumping rally - 12th June

A reminder of the the show jumping rally at Golden Cross on Saturday 12th June where a full set of showjumps will be set up. Cost is £18.00 and will run 10.00 - 2.00.

Please enter via our website by tomorrow evening latest  (Thursday 27th May) as I need to cancel any hours not required to avoid been charged!

D test - 30th May

D TEST - Sunday 30th May at Plumpton College

Hi all - we have had lots of interest from members wanting to do their D, D+ and C tests. It's great to have so many members wanting to learn and progress their riding and horse and pony care skills working through the Pony Club Efficiency Tests.

So we can test all those who are ready and who have responded to Shevaun's email about wanting to do their test, we will be assessing the D Test candidates at the Mini/Junior working rally on Sunday 30th May. This rally will be held in the morning at Plumpton College and is £12.50 per person.

So we can arrange the groups pls book into this rally by this Sunday 23rd May.

Riding & Road Safety Test - 29th May

Dear all,

Here are the groups and times for the Road Rider Achievement Badge at Wivelsden on Sat 29th May. The instructor is Angela Whitehead and the first group is now starting at 12.30pm (Angela needs to be with her school equestrian team in the morning),

Pls can you bring high vis items for riders and ponies (as if you were riding on the roads).

Area Dressage:  Any more takers for this?  I will be submitting the entries I have Tuesday 18^th May

 

Area Showjumping:  There is a selection rally/practice at Golden Cross on Saturday 12^th June where  up to height courses will be set up in preparation for the 80cm, 90cm and 1mt classes at the Area competition. This will run 10.00 -2.00.

 

There will also be availability for those jumping lower courses  and who are not doing the Area competitions– please book in via our website. Cost is £18.00

I will need names by 21^st May so I can confirm the hours with the venue

 

Area Eventing:  Training for this will be at Brightling on Tuesday 1^st June @ £35.00

 

There is also availability for those not doing Area  but are jumping 80cm and above to take part. – please book in via our website. Bookings will close on 21^st May.

Area 11 Dressage

Area 11 Dressage is taking place on Sunday 6^th June at Hickstead Showground.

If you are interested in taking part in the following classes please let me know by Saturday 8^th May – sorry for the short notice, but schedule has only just been released!

Class 2: Team and Individual Qualifier – The Pony Club Open Dressage Test 2020

Class 3:  Team and Individual Qualifier - Pony Club Intermediate Dressage Test 2013

Combination of horse and rider are NOT eligible if they have: represented any Branch or Centre in Open Area Dressage or above in previous years – won any BD points at Elementary level of above – competed at BD Medium Level or above

Class 5a:  Team and Individual Area 11 Novice Qualifier – Pony Club Novice Dressage Test 2020

Riders are NOT eligible if they have: competed an Open Area level or above competition in Dressage in the current year or have done so in previous years – won any BD points (BD preliminary points do not count for the purposes of this rule) – competed at BD Elementary level or above

Class 5c: Open Novice Individuals only Qualifier – Pony Club Dressage Test 2020

Competition at the Area competition as individuals only. The Open Novice is to be run as an additional section to the Novice competition.

Class 7a: Team and Individual Area 11 Regional – Pony  Club Grassroots Dressage Test 2018

Riders are NOT eligible if they have: previously represented their Branch or Centre at PC Novice level or above in any dressage or Eventing Area Competitions – Combinations of horse and rider are NOT eligible if they have competed above Prelim level with BD or competed at BD Novice – previously competed in the Winter Series Championships

Area 11 Showjumping and related rally/practice

Area 11 show jumping is being hosted by Old Surrey & Burstow on the weekend of 3^rd & 4^th July at Felbridge Showground.

  The schedule has not yet been released!  The 80cm grass roots will be run on the Saturday and the Novice, Open and Intermediate classes on the Sunday.

Full eligibility rules for each class will follow as soon as I have the schedule, however I am keen to get organised and ask anyone who would be interested in representing their branch in any of these classes to let me know by  21^st May to set the wheels in motion.

The main criteria at this point is that you will have attended 3 jumping rallies in the current year. Hoping we can send several teams and look forward to hearing from you.

 

With these competitions in mind, there will be a showjumping rally/practice at Golden Cross Equestrian on Saturday 12^th June @ £18.00 each – priority will be given to those who wish to be considered for a team or riding as an individual.
