Don't forget to book onto the C/C+ rally on 9th January at Plumpton. The website is now up and running so bookings can be made online.

Subject to numbers there will be two groups, 10am to 11am and 11am to 12pm. Polly Thom is instructing.

For loan: friendly 11hh2 skewbald mare. Faultless in hand, like a little pet. Really sweet natured. No problems with farrier/dentist/vet/boxing/catching etc. my daughter wants a break from riding and she's too good to be left in the field. She's been on the lead rein for my 4 year old daughter who's a complete beginner and has been great. Very well behaved in the school and has popped over 40cm show jumps. She's hacked out a lot and is generally fine walking and trotting along, she has spooked a couple of times but nothing major - she was nervous around livestock but seems to have settled. We adore her…the only issue is she has become very attached to her stable mate as it's been just the two of them for a year and she can get a bit silly when separated from her. She would be fine as a lead rein pony but better for a slightly older rider - she responds really well when my 7 year old daughter gets on her. She's done some working rallies, ping club camp and grass roots showjumping competitions. Looking for a happy, busy, loving home to send her to for about a year.

/D/D+ rallys    Whilst the website is down, should you wish to book a rally, or have already booked onto  a rally, please message/email me, carriestoneal@gmail.com.    Payments are to be made directly to sdhepc by BACs.    Rallys for the 9th January at Plumpton are £12.50 per ticket.    Please book before the 26th December for this rally so we can confirm places and organise groups

C/C+ rally 9th January

There is a rally on Sunday 9th January at Plumpton College for members working towards their C or C+ efficiency tests. It is also suitable for members working at this level but not wishing to take their tests. Polly Thom is instructing. 

Subject to numbers there will be two groups, 10 to 11 and 11 to 12. Groups and times will be allocated once the bookings are closed.

The deadline for booking is this Sunday (boxing day!) and unfortunately our SDHEPC website is still down and so bookings can't currently be made online.

Payments will need to be made via  BACs.

Ricco is an 8 year old 13.2, gorgeous dappled grey, who is looking for a loan home that will love him as much as we do. He is a very honest pony and forward going, so will need a competent jockey . Ricco has competed up to 70cm but jumps 1m at home and could potentially go bigger with a smaller jockey. My daughter is now 5ft 7 and too tall. She has been riding him for two years since she was 10 years old. He is only up for a full loan so no buyers please as I have a younger daughter who will need him in a couple of years or so. My daughter has done fancy dress, pony camp, rallies, SJ, XC, ODE, NSEA champs, Sunshine tour, beach rides. He loves to do everything although we have not done much dressage with him. He always comes home with a rosette for jumping ! Ricco has one vice in that he gives a little bunny hop when he is pleased with himself but this is very occasional. He can be turned out with any horse and always prefers to have a field buddy. Excellent to load and clip. Perfect for dentist or farrier. Bombproof on the road.
Ricco must stay in Sussex and go to a 5* yard with other horses. Homes will be vetted.

Please clear up all hay and droppings from the lorry park.  Horses are not to be left unattended in or outside of boxes/trailers.  Please do not let your horse graze anywhere!

 

Correct pony club dress code – horses to be clean and wearing clean plain tack with no bling! Riders must wear beige jodphurs, clean boots and gaiters, shirt, pony club tie and badge, gloves and hairnets for the girls.   No jewellery including earrings of any shape or form!

 

Any help with setting up jumps and putting away afterwards would be very much appreciated.
