I trust you have enjoying the Festive Season! You are receiving this e-mail because the address is linked to one or more current members of Southdown East Branch of the Pony Club. I bring good news which I quote from the renewal letter from the Chairman:
"Membership normally falls due on January 1st. However, we have received representations from several Branches that parents can find this financially difficult, because of its proximity to Christmas. Accordingly, we have decided to change the renewal date to February 1st., and will give free membership for the month of January 2015. In future, the membership year will run from February 1st. to January 31st. Both membership and insurance cover will automatically terminate if the subscription is not paid by February 28th."

As you may know there is a case of strangles with our region. While this is nothing unusual (strangles is a nasty equine infection which crops up with monotonous regularity) please remember that it is very infectious so if you are stabled at a yard where there is a case please adhere to veterinary advice and do not travel or attend Pony Club activities until given the 'all clear'. If we end up spreading strangles to another equine population we will not be popular!
I trust everyone is enjoying the festive season despite the difficulties which can occur from time to time.

It is with great disappointment that I have to announce a case of strangles at our farm today. Therefore the Childrens Hunt meet on the 31st December at South Brockwells Farm, Little Horsted, TN22 5QS will be postponed to a later date. Apologies to all those who were planning on coming and please keep a close eye on these emails as we will reschedule , the legacy of my late mother was to get children hunting and a case of strangles is a small hurdle in our way currently! Wishing you all a happy New Year and hope to see you soon.
