Flatwork rally 4th June at Alderlake

The rally is 10am to 11am with Polly Thom instructing. Please be tacked up and ready to ride at 10am prompt. Pls do not tie up haynets outside of trailers and clear up any poo in the arena and outside and by boxes. Please wear pony club navy polo shirt or shirt and pony club tie, black or navy hat silk and gloves.

Area 11 Eventing interest - replies to Michelle Beckett

Areas 11,12 & 13 Eventing 2023

This is taking place at Tweseldown Racecourse over the weekend of 22nd & 23rd July. PC80, 90 and 100

PC70 taking place 25th June at Mid Surrey Pony Club field

 

The organisers must have names of provisional entries by 6th June so if you are interested please let me know by 1st June in order for teams to be decided etc. –The PC90 and PC 100 classes will be on the Saturday and PC80 on the Sunday

As the event is a Championship Qualifier the courses will be up to height and technicality.

 

The general eligibility: All horses must be 5 years of age or over.

Riders or horses who have "schooled" over the course during the previous 2 weeks are ineligible.

All horses must have genuinely participated at a minimum of 3 qualifying rallies/coaching sessions – one of which must have been in the current year – with the current rider as a combination.2

 

PC70 – members must be 13 years and under on 1st January of the current year. They are not eligible if they have previously competed at any PC80 or above are or regional competition for eventing.

 

PC70 plus – solely for individuals – members must be 14 years and over on 1st January of the current year and not eligible if they have previously represented their branch at PC80 or above in any eventing competition.

 

PC 80 Regional – riders are not eligible if they have previously represented their branch at PC90 or above in any Eventing Area competition.

Combination of horse and rider are not eligible if they have completed at PC90 or above Eventing at Area or Championship level, or BE90 competition

 

PC 90    Riders are not eligible if they have completed a PC110 Area level or British Eventing Novice in the current year or previous years.

Combination of horse and rider are not eligible if they have completed a BE Novice or above,

Achieved more than 3 cross country rounds with no jumping penalties at BE100, achieved more than 3 clear cross country rounds at BE100, completed a PC100 or above competition in Eventing in the current year or have done so in previous years, previously ever finished 1st to 3rd as an individual at the PC Championship on 2 occasions at PC90 level or above

 

PC90+  Open to all members who are not eligible for the PC90 – open to individuals only

 

PC 100 –Combination of horse and rider are not eligible if they have completed a PC110 or above in the current or previous years, completed a BE Intermediate or above, achieved more than 3 clear cross country rounds at BE Novice, previously ever finished 1st to 3rd as an individual at the PC Eventing championship on 2 occasions at PC100 or above.

 

PC 80 GrassrootsShowjumping Max height 85cm, width 85cm  XC max height 80cm, width 90cm at highest point and 1.25 at base   Dressage – Grassroots Test 2018

PC90  -showjumping max height 95cm, width 1.05m  XC  90cm  max height, width 1.00 at highest point and 1.50 at base   Dressage – PC90 Eventing test 2013

PC100 – showjumping 1.05, width 1.15m  XC 1.00 max height, width 1.10 at highest point and 1.80 at base  Dressage – PC100 Eventing test 2015

Interest for Area 11 showjumping - from Katie Wright

Area 11 showjumping is being hosted by Crawley & Horsham Pony Club on 1st & 2nd July at Felbridge Showground.

There will be PC110,  PC100, PC90, PC 80, PC70 and PC70+.   Classes will be up to height as this is a Championship qualifier.

There are eligibility rules to adhere to. One of the main criteria is that the combination of horse and rider must have genuinely participated at a minimum of 3 qualifying rallies, one of which must be in the current year, no horse under 5 years of age is eligible (passports will be checked) and horses must have a 6 month flu booster within 6 months of the competition, leaving a clear 7 days between jab and competition. (passports will be checked)

PC100  Combination of horse and rider are not eligible if they have previously ever finished 1st – 3rd at the Pc Championships at PC100 level or above

PC90  Riders are not eligible if they have completed a PC110 Area level or above in previous years. Combination of horse and rider are not eligible if they have previously ever finished 1st – 3rd as an individual at the PC Championships at PC90 level or above in 2 occassions.

PC90 open  Open to all riders who are not eligible for the PC90

PC80 (Regional)  Riders are not eligible if they have previously represented their branch at PC90 level or above in any show jumping or eventing area competitions or summer championships. Combination of horse and rider are not eligible if they have previously competed in the Spring Festival PC Challenge (90cm) Championship final or open competition at Area level or above. Previously ever finished 1st – 3rd as an individual in the show jumping or eventing at a regional championship on 2 occassions

PC70 Riders must be 13 years and under on 1st January of the current year. Riders are not eligible if they have previously completed at any PC80 or above area or regional competition for show jumping.

PC70 plus – Solely for individuals (no team competition) Members must be 14 and over on 1st January of the current year and and not eligible if they have previously represented their branch at PC80 or above in any show jumping competition.

 

PC 100 -  First round at 1.00   Second round 1.05

PC90 – First round at 90cm  Second round .95cm

PC80 – First round 80cm   Second round will have 2 single fences at 85cm

PC70  First round 70cm.  Second round (if applicable) 70cm with 2 single fences at 75cm

Cross country rallies available for booking

We have two sessions of Cross Country available to book on the website.     Friday 23rd June starting at 6pm until 7pm and 7pm until 8pm.  East Byshee Cross Country course . This is suitable for riders confidently jumping 65cm and over at Cross country.     Saturday 24th June midday Introduction to Cross Country at Felcourt with Polly Thom instructing. Road safety training and test


Hello,


There is a Road Safety Training and Test rally on Tuesday 30th May at 2pm. This is being run by Simon Luck for Lord Lec Pony Club and will be held at Goringlee. The cost I believe is £15.00

Show jumping rally - change of date and venue

We have changed the date and venue of our next sj rally to the 31st May 4-7pm and will now be at Felbridge in the larger outdoor arena. Great chance to practice over a course before the competition.  If you're planning on coming then please book on soon so we can amend hours needed and avoid getting charged.

Mini/junior rally Sunday 14th May

The mini/junior Rally will be 12 to 1pm at Plumpton on Sunday 14th with Alice instructing.    Members attending are:      Milly Woolven       Bela Marin-Restrepo  Pippa Marin-Restrepo      Please be tacked up and ready to start promptly. Dress code is pony club navy polo shirts or shirt and tie, pony club sweatshirt and navy or black hat silk, plain jodhpurs. C test information


The C Test will be held on Sunday 14th May at Plumpton College. Tickets are now available to book.
 
The Test will start at 10.00 am sharp for all members who have been invited to take their test. Please arrive early. Do not tack up! You will be asked to lead your horse to the school to tack up and this will form part of the test. 
The test will be assessed by 2 examiners - Simon and Candice.
The riding will last for approximately one hour and 15 mins and members will be asked questions by the examiners during this session. 
After a short break, the 'Care' session will start by your trailers in the car park - please can everyone park near each other.
 
At approx. 12.30 the Examiner's will discuss the test with members and announce their decisions.
 
Please remember that the C Test is assessed by the examiners on the day and the decision of the examiners is final.
 
Please also remember to wear your tweed or dark coloured jackets, pony club badge on left lapel, beige jods and all hats must be tagged.
