Interbranach showjumping Tuesday 25th October

Hello all.

Crawley & Horsham pony club are hosting an interbranch sj competition on Tuesday 25th October @ Felbridge. Classes are from 60cm - 1m both team and individual. £14 per class or £48/50 per team.

Area cross country training

Breen Equestrian visit - bookings open

Hi all - the tickets are now available to book for the yard visit of Breen Equestrian.

Breen Equestrian Yard Visit

This will be a talk and tour of their horses, facilities and a walk onto the Hickstead Showground. 10am to 11.30am. Members will need to make their own way to Breen Equestrian where we will meet together for the tour. Spaces are limited to 15 members only. Please drop your member(s) at the entrance to the yard where you will be met by the SDHEPC organisers.

Apologies to any parents who would also like to visit the yard but we need to keep our group to 15 members. If not all places are booked by our members, we will open up to parents to come and make up the numbers ??

Cross country rally 29th October - Lockskinners

Visit to Breen Equestrian 8th October

We have arranged a visit to Breen Equestrian on Saturday 8th October, 10am to 11.30am.

This will include a tour of the yard, with the opportunity to see some of their horses both at rest and being exercised. We will be given a talk by the Yard Manager, Aneta Biderman and weather permitting she will take us onto the Hickstead Derby Bank.

There are 15 spaces available on a first come, first served basis. There is no charge but members will need to make their own way to Breen Equestrian, where we will meet as one group for the tour. 

Tickets will be available soon on the SDHEPC website for booking.

Here are the groups and timings for Sunday's rally. Polly Thom is instructing.

Please arrive in good time for the start of the rally as we have to be very prompt with our start and finish at Alder Lake.

Please wear correct Pony Club uniform - shirt and tie or navy Pony Club polo shirt or sweatshirt, beige, cream or white jodhs and black or navy hat silk. Please bring a schooling whip if you have one.

Please do not tie haynets outside the trailers/lorries and clean up any droppings.

Flatwork rally 25th September

Dressage / Flatwork Rally Sunday 25th Sept at Alder Lake Farm - a few spaces remaining.

We are running 3 groups at Alderlake next Sunday and there are a few spaces left. All levels are welcome. Tickets will close on Monday so we can allocate groups and times so please book on asap.

Sonia makes the decision regarding the team selection and all those not in a team can compete as an individual. All those in a team automatically count as individuals too.

We will also need to know show names for your pony/ horse so please either reply to: katieandaiden@hotmail.com or you can WhatsApp me ( I sometimes don't receive text's).

Also we need as much help as possible on the day so if you can spare a couple of hours it would be hugely appreciated, we can't run these events without the help of volunteers. Children welcome to help too, they make great poo pickers and helping put jumps back up! Please email Candy with any offers.

You will be on a stable yard and handling horses so please wear suitable shoes/boots and bring your riding hats. Please also wear your pony club sweatshirt or polo shirt and appropriate trousers/jodhs.

If you have the Tish Adams C+ Book, please try and read the chapter on Stable Bandaging before the rally. ??

Picnic hack Saturday 17th September Bevernbridge Stables

  After the success of the last one, we have organised a picnic hack for Sat 17th September at Bevernbridge Cross Country and Hacking facility for our younger members. Esmee will be instructing and will be teaching 2 Pony Club Achievement badges - Sequence of Footfalls and Trees. The picnic ride is planned for 12.00pm to 2.00pm.   We will be going across to the Millwoods Fields at Bevernbridge - across a small bridge and over to some lovely open fields. This will be a nice chilled hack and is ideal for members on lead rein or just riding independently. Parent/carers will be asked to accompany their children so please bring comfy walking shoes!   We will have groups of 4 going over the fields - if we have enough members booking on to run 2 groups, one will be before the picnic and the other after. Please bring your own picnic and perhaps a treat to share ??      Members are welcome to wear their Pony Club polo shirts or a plain navy polo shirt if a pony club one isn't possible. Hats, jodhs, appropriate riding boots and gloves are required please.    The cost is £15 per person and tickets will close Sunday 11th September so we can plan numbers etc.     Any questions, please get in touch     Michelle Beckett 

Help needed at our fund raising interbranch showjumping

We are hosting our Interbranch Team and Individual Show Jumping competition at Golden Cross on Sunday 16^th October and very much need your help on the day for this to run smoothly – any profits go towards buying equipment for the members to enjoy and to keep the cost of rallies and camps to a minimum.
