Setting up show jumps for senior camp - postponed from Friday to Saturday afternoon

Evening all, due to the heat that is expected again tomorrow I am proposing that we postpone setting jumps up until Saturday afternoon at drop off as the temperature is due to drop.    I will be there from 2 pm to put up jumps and set up etc.  I am pleading with you to please drop your children off at the appropriate times stated on your camp letter and come and help set a few jumps up please! Please note the field is not located at our house entrance but about 200 metres beyond. If travelling from Piltdown/ Uckfield it is on the left. If you are travelling from Lewes onto the Lewes Road it will be on your right.

 

The turning is tight in to a driveway through an open wooden gate marked ' Whiteoaks '. You then need to turn immediately left into our field. The turning off the road is by a pair of farm cottages and almost opposite Boat house farm. I will put something out on the verge to indicate the turning.

 

There is poor mobile signal in our village so do not rely on a last minute phone call. Email or text in advance 07789992810 and I'll happily give you specific instructions.

Branch show this Sunday - food for helpers needed please

Hi

It looks like the weather is going to be kind to us for the Branch Show at Plumpton Racecourse I hope you are all coming.

I would like to keep the helpers all fed and watered on Sunday but would be very grateful if some of you could provide a dish for their lunch so I don't eat into any profits We might make !!

I will buy and cook bacon sandwiches first thing so no one needs to meet me at the crack of dawn but below is a list that maybe members could provide and bring to the show sometime in the morning.

I always think A Ploughman's Lunch goes down well so the following is required. ( I am catering for around 25 people throughout the day )

Branch show help needed please 8th July

SDHE next fund raising event is our annual Branch Show at Plumpton Racecourse on Sunday 8th July

We are looking for help with setting up for this show on Saturday 7th July, 1.00 at the racecourse - there are 4 courses of jumps to be built,  rings to be roped and a handy pony course to be created.  Please could as many of you as possible come to help even for an hour, many hands make light work and will be very much appreciated, especially some strong men wanting to flex their muscles!

We are looking for help on the day with arena party and runners.  As much help at the end of the day in dismantling the rings, taking down jumps and loading of trailers would be most welcome too.

Hope to see lots of our members taking part.
