ello everyone AGAIN.

So far, following several requests we have  only 5 volunteers to fence judge at the mini ODE on Sunday.

We cannot allow riders to jump the course without the proper number of judges to make sure that all riders are safe and so  if we don't get enough numbers then this event cannot go ahead. This would be a shame for all the little ones who look forward to their event at the end of the year. 

PLEASE try to give up some time for us this weekend.  Morning or afternoon.  It will be much appreciated and we will look after you with refreshments.

Johnno is a 14.3, 13 year old grey Connemara gelding who is very sadly up for sale due to me taking a gap year and planning to go exploring! Johnno is a regular member of the pony club teams, having represented SDHW many times in the last few years: Novice showjumping in 2015, 2016 and 2017, regularly giving the team a valuable clear round. Intermediate dressage areas in 2015 (8^th place), 2016 and 2017 finishing in the middle of the field. Novice eventing, coming 6^th at the Petersfield ODE earlier in the year, he has also represented the branch at novice area eventing. Recently, he came 4^th at the unaffiliated horse trials at Borde Hill, finishing on 36.5 and exactly on the optimum time despite being the smallest in his section – he really is a machine cross country, a real point and go pony. Ideally, he will go to a home where he can continue to be an active member of the Pony Club, doing all the things he loves most! He is good to hack, load, travel, clip and is one of the easiest ponies to have around. He can be strong and fast so not suitable for a novice rider although he would never buck, spin, rear or bolt. We are in no rush to sell him so homes will be thoroughly vetted to ensure Johnno goes to the best home possible! He will come with all his tack and rugs.

I am searching for a first pony, 11'2 – 12'2hh for my 7 year old daughter. She went mini-camp on her sister's pony and now needs a pony of her own who I can trust off the lead. Turton Hunter Trials

Hi Everyone

 

I hope you have had a fantastic summer and enjoyed the Holidays ( I have and don't want to go back to work on Monday !!! )

 

BUT our Pony Club Job hasn't finished for the year yet !!! I meet lots of new faces over the summer and would love to see you all helping. Please remember its these events that help to keep rallies as cheap as possible, buy new equipment and pay for venues we use.

 

Next Sunday 10th September there is a Hunter Trail at Wivelsden Farm and I am looking for XC Fence Judges.

The summer holidays are drawing to a close and we are probably already thinking about getting the children ready and back to school.  Hence my reminder:

WHP rally

Consisting of 2 hours of tuition

1 hrs flat and 1 hrs jumping over the rustic fences.

Friday, 1st September at Woodley House, Wivelsden

If you are as old as me and been associated with the branch for as long as I have you will remember this is the venue we used a lot and was home to our cross country course.  It is a beautiful venue and we are very lucky to have the use of it again. 

The groups will be kept small a maximum of 5 in each group.

Currently I have:

This rally will be starting at 11am.

I have Michelle Quibell as the instructor

We can run another group from 1 to 3pm.  Or if sufficient interest have two groups running along side each other for the two different time slots.

If I have sufficient interest from our Mini members I appreciate two hours of tuition is a bit long for them, so we can condense the time down for them at a reduced fee.

Fee for the rally is: £15

Well known south down hunt east pony for sale. 14.2 dark bay new forest gelding, aged 12. Fred has been to senior camp, one day events,hunter trials, has been on the show jumping team, schooling at various places, lots of rallies and the list goes on (loves to jump and swim) . I know since starting up the Games practices I've had a few Mum's and children showing an interest but unfortunately due to the day and time haven't been able to attend any practices.

Therefore, after successful games practices as our different camps we have a Games rally on in the MORNING, please come along and have a go.  As I have been given dates throughout the Autumn and Winter months for games pairs competitions and it would be fantastic if we can get up some pairs of children through all ages to participate.

The C and C+ rally being held on Saturday 12th August will take place in the afternoon at South Brockwells Farm.

Ride & Road Safety Badges

I am running a road safety training day on 25th August at South Brockwells Farm.  (If you also wish to attend the C/C+ session that day please let me know so that we can arrange suitable times) 

If you are starting out and are looking to take your D test the mini achievement badge is required. 

 

In order to take the C test children who have completed their D+ need to take (and pass) their Road safety achievement badge.

 

All awards will involve an unmounted session, mounted training and then for the achievement badge (not mini), a test. 

If your child would like to take part in one of the awards please contact me asap as spaces will be limited.  PLACES CAN NOT BE SECURED WITHOUT A FORM AND PAYMENT.
